Extra charges

I purchased 3 $100 gift cards for my grandaughter for Christmas. Was surprised when my charge card bill came in with a charge of $365.83 as well as a foreign transaction fee of $10.97. Why was this not explained on the site? Shoddy marketing.

We've had a look at this and we believe this is due to GBP to US conversion. All the website pricing is in GBP and based on the current USD exchange rate (1.2 USD to 1 GBP) we believe this is why your order should have been $360.

Regarding the additional charge, this hasn't come from us and is not in our system at all. We believe that this may be a result of an exchange rate fee with your banking provider, though we aren't certain sadly.

We'd love to have the website functionality to be able to offer USD pricing and conversions automatically, but sadly for a small UK based business this development is for the future.

We will be adding a page to our website on 'International Orders' to help give people more clarity in the future.
